Hi, I'm Robert Lanting!
My Cinematic Music journey began with an old, sluggish laptop, a bunch of plugins and sample libraries, and zero clue how to use them. As a musician turned composer, I was desperate to break into the world of cinematic music, but I didn’t know where to start. The tools were there, but the skills? Not so much.
The Frustrating Path
But here’s the thing: I didn’t give up. Slowly but surely, I figured it out. I spent countless hours experimenting, learning from my mistakes, and finally began crafting tracks that captured the cinematic sound I had been dreaming of.
The Turning Point
Fast forward to today: my music is now accepted by major trailer and production music libraries. It’s been used by content creators around the globe, I score custom music for video games, documentaries and films, and most importantly—I get paid doing what I love. But I’ll never forget the struggles and frustrations of getting here.

You expect instant results without practice – If you’re not willing to apply what you learn, experiment, and refine your skills, this course won’t magically make you a pro overnight.
You’re looking for a beginner’s music theory course – This course assumes you have basic knowledge of music composition and want to level up your cinematic writing.
You want to learn live orchestration and recording – This course focuses on creating cinematic music in a DAW using virtual instruments, not scoring for live musicians.
